Fishing at the lake

Jimmy and I caught two beautiful bass at the lake this evening. It was so peaceful and quiet. The sunset was awesome.

Camping

Camping out two nights was an adventure. Our tent was under a canopy of trees beside a creek. The nights were cool and we came prepared with warm blankets. It poured rain on the second night and we remained dry. I'm looking forward to our next camping experience.

Enjoying the good food.

Happy Birthday America!

Let's eat!

It was a great day with perfect weather for a picnic. We attended our church picnic and then made our way over to the Boyer picnic. The food was great, the fellowship with friends was sweet.
We love our country. May we never forget all the brave men and women that fought so we can have the freedoms we enjoy.

Picking Cherries

We had a fun time picking cherries this afternoon. The cherry trees in the back hayfield are loaded with the most beautiful black cherries. You could see the indention in the grass where the deer had bedded down. We stood under the loaded branches and picked till our fingers were blood red from the juices. Princess Marie kept telling me her hands were red. I told her mine were red too. I took my sandals off and Princess Marie had to take hers off also. We had red feet. You couldn't tell we had picked a cherry.
