Little Helpers

Prince Edward and Princess Marie are helping Aunt D put candles on Sir Edward's birthday cake. They did an awesome job and helped blow the candles out. We celebrated last evening with family and friends.

Visiting Gma

What a great day! We had a wonderful visit with our Gma.. We are blessed that our children know their Great Gma. I knew mine and have a lot of memories that I dearly cherish. My boys loved to visit and stay with her when they were younger. She always had a block of cheddar cheese and crackers for the boys to snack on. Once, Gma came for a visit and left early before they woke up. Sir James was so upset he went and laid at the front door and cried. I cried with him!

Sights along the way

Yesterday I spotted this old church. I can picture in my mind the grannies with their long dresses and bonnets, the old men in their best overalls, the children in their best Sunday clothes. I can hear the toll of the bell beckoning the worshipers to church.

Star of the Game

Yesterday was another double header at the ballpark. They lost the first game by one run but came back and won the second. Sir Seth pitched the second game and did a great job. He is an awesome player. I know, he's my son! I'm bragging just a little.

Often we tell those around us how much we love them, we say all the right things but what about our actions. Do we show them in our actions or walk that we love them? I catch myself often humming the song, "Make me a blessing to someone today," not just in words but deeds.

It was a great day for a ballgame. We sizzled and cooked in the sun and by the end of the game we were well done. Sir Seth had a double header on Saturday winning both games.

Special Friends

We had a wonderful visit with our friends from Florida.

PEACE

This week I cleaned the headstones of my Great, Great Grandparents. I had stopped to take pictures one day and could not read them. It took me about an hour and I was pleased with the results. I snapped this picture focusing on the stones and didn't realize the church was in the background.

Sometimes a prayer for someone we know that's struggling can help ease their burden. We are blessed to have many prayer warriors who pray for us.

Church Sign

This sign reminds me that people will let you down. It's important to take your focus off of those that have hurt you and redirect your focus, UP, to the One that matters. The Lord cares so much for us.
